Walking Clubs

Thirty minutes of moderate walking, 4-7 times a week is a great way to get active and stay active! Walking with friends, family, neighbours, community groups and coworkers is a great way to make walking fun!

The Brant County Health Unit, in collaboration with the Brant Healthy Living Coalition, are offering free resources to local walking clubs to help them get started and stay motivated.

Steps to get started:

  1. Find some people with a common interest in walking and set up a regular walking routine.
  2. Register your walking club of two (2) or more people by following the link below. After registering, your club will recieve a free walking starter kit filled with great resources including a walking pamphlet, whistle, flashlight and pedometer. A pedometer is a simple device worn on your hip that counts your daily steps.
  3. Start your walking routine!

As a registered walking club, you will have access to up-to-date walking information and resources and will receive prizes for reaching 3, 6 and 12 month goals!
